Season for Cheerleaders: August thru December 2026
Location: Nishuane Park - 75 Cedar Street & Hillside School - 54 Orange Road in Montclair
Ages: 5 through 14
Cost: Registration fee ($150/$225) & Accessories package $300+ (fundraiser available to assist)

REGISTRATION
- What you need to register...
* Athlete photo - a clear solo picture of your child. This is used for ID checks at events.
* 2026 Participant Contract and Parental Consent Form. Complete this form and upload> then submit hard copy to Cheer Director.

* 2026 Youth Participant Medical History Form. Complete this form and upload> then submit hard copy to Cheer Director.

* Final report card dated June 2026. Upload> then submit hard copy to Cheer Director.
* Proof of Age (New athletes only). Upload child's original birth certificate> then submit a copy to Cheer Director.
* Pay registration fees $150/$225.

PRACTICE
* August 3, 2026 - First Day of practice for cheerleaders - all athletes should be registered.
* August practice schedule for cheerleaders - Monday thru Friday 6-8pm - Nishuane Park - 75 Cedar Avenue.
* September thru December practice schedule - 3 days a week > 6-8pm Hillside School - 54 Orange Road.
* Practice days will vary by team from September thru December.

TEAMS (Projected)
* Tiny Mites - Ages 5, 6, 7 | Squad cheers sideline at Flag football games on Sunday (subject to change).
* Mitey Mites - Ages 6,7,8,9 | Squad cheers sideline at tackle football games on Sunday (subject to change).
* Jr Pee Wee - Ages 8,9,10,11 | Squad cheers sideline at tackle football games on Sunday (subject to change).
* Pee Wee - Ages 9,10,11,12 | Squad cheers sideline at tackle football games on Sunday (subject to change).
* Jr Varsity - Ages 10,11,12,13,14 | Squad cheers sideline at tackle football games on Sunday (subject to change).
* All athletes compete in our local cheer competition. If we place, we move on to regionals in Trenton and Nationals in NC.

Additional Information
* You will receive information to purchase cheer accessories (sneakers etc $300+) once you have registered.
* June 15 is the deadline for the first cheer accessories order for tanks. August 5 is the final deadline to order practice tanks.

* The National cheer competition in North Carolina requires additional hotel & transportation costs, we offer fundraising to assist.
* We ask that you plan ahead for the cost of Nationals.
* Pop Warner prohibits dual team membership unless it is school related.

Welcome to the Montclair Bulldogs Cheerleading Program
(Ages 5-14)
Our program goals are to teach new cheerleaders the fundamentals of cheer and to help build and expand the skills of more experienced cheerleaders.
We provide a safe and fun learning environment in which our cheerleaders will also learn the meaning of teamwork, leadership, sportsmanship and hard work. There are no tryouts, everyone is assigned to a team depending upon their age and skill level.
We have a knowledgeable staff with completed background checks and cheer training.
Cheerleading is an incredible team sport that will challenge you both physically and mentally.
At the end of the season our athletes will walk away having grown in their skills and self-confidence, in addition to the lasting Bulldog memories.
If you are new to cheerleading take a deep breath and hold on.
It's not just a frivolous sideline activity.
Cheerleading is a roller coaster of events and breathtaking possibilities.
We are committed to a comfortable and stress-free season.
